In April 2009 Dr. Diers was issued the full licence as a Paediatrician by the Ordem dos Médicos here in Portugal. Since then he holds his consultations in the Clínica Internacional de Saúde (CIS) in Cascais, in the Clínica Europa in Carcavelos and also has a practice in the Clínica Médica Internacional de Lisboa (CMIL). With the receipt of the Portuguese license to practice as a child neurologist in September 2010, Dr. Diers also treats children with neuropaediatric disorders which arise from diseases involving the central or the peripheral nervous system or the skeletal muscles.
Diagnostics and treatment
Consultations with Dr. Diers comprise the entire spectrum of out-patient paediatric and neuropaediatric clinical diagnostics and treatments. All routine check-ups at any age of the child are performed according to the patient's home country's requirements. All vaccinations are thoroughly discussed and are given if the parents and the patient wish so.
Cooperation
By close cooperation with the physicians of the clinics and with all medical specialties in the greater Lisbon area, an additional comprehensive care is guaranteed. Dr. Diers works together with all therapeutic disciplines such as speech therapy, physiotherapy, occupational therapy, and psychotherapy.
